THE RECYCLED® FABRIC
Dem Armonie del Sonno's commitment to adopting increasingly sustainable materials has led to the choice of Recycled® fabric. The fabric is made with a low-impact, high-quality yarn and is a unique combination of sustainable cellulosic fibers. Most of the yarn is composed of Tencel™ Lyocell from Lenzing, combined with hemp and recycled cotton. Tencel™ is produced from wood sourced from sustainable forests and is known to be one of the most eco-friendly textile fibers due to its closed-loop production process. The hemp fibers give the fabric a more natural, lightweight, and breathable appearance. Hemp is grown in Belgium in a very eco-friendly way, requiring no pesticides and consuming much less water than cotton, while also replenishing nutrients in the soil after harvest. In addition to these two sustainable raw materials, the Recycled® fabric incorporates pre-consumer textile waste into its production through recycling. The recycled cotton fibers also add a unique touch of color to the fabric. Like the padding, the fabric used in the Recycled® line is GRS certified.
